The College of Materials Engineering was formed in 2007 as an update to the Department that was established in 1993. The College of Materials Engineering at the University of Babylon is the leading College in materials engineering at the national level, not only because it's the first in this area, but also because it has a distinctive vision based on continuously deepening specialised expertise.

The College of Materials Engineering at the University of Babylon, under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Emad Ali Dshir Al-Haidari, the Dean of the College, will hold an educational seminar as part of the Women Empowerment Unit's activities. The seminar will focus on the theme "Sustainability is a way of life" and will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Discussion Hall of the College's Deanery.
